Today, we were warmly welcomed by the Primary 7 class from Killyman PS for our second Shared Education session.
Once again, our theme was “Connect”, with pupils spending more time getting to know one another. We began the morning working in mixed groups to create some hexagonal designs inspired by The Giant’s Causeway.
Next came our first STEM Challenge, where groups competed to make the longest paper chain using only one A4 page, a pair of scissors, and a glue stick. After snack time and some fun together outdoors, pupils took on a second STEM Challenge — the Paper Cup Challenge. This activity really tested their teamwork as they worked together to stack plastic cups using only string and elastic bands!
We’ve really enjoyed our “Connect” sessions and are already looking forward to meeting up again next month for some “Be Active” sessions at Dungannon Leisure Centre.
