Today, our Primary 7 pupils walked to Killyman Primary School to join with the Primary 7 pupils there to take part in a Shared Education programme involving two engaging and thought-provoking workshops.
In the first workshop, the children explored mindfulness through art. Pupils created their own artwork, encouraging calmness, focus and self-expression in a peaceful and supportive environment.
The second workshop focused on social media awareness and internet safety. Pupils took part in open discussions about online behaviour, anxiety, and the impact social media can have on mental well-being. They were encouraged to think critically about staying safe online, managing worries and knowing where to seek support.
Both workshops provided valuable opportunities for pupils to develop emotional awareness, build resilience and gain practical strategies to support their well-being as they prepare for the transition to post-primary school.
