P6 & P7 – A Very Busy Week!
Our P6 and P7 pupils have had an incredibly busy and exciting week packed full of learning, visitors and special activities!
On Monday, we enjoyed a wonderful Relax Kids session with Eileen, helping us focus on relaxation techniques and positive wellbeing.
On Tuesday, we celebrated Pancake Tuesday by making (and tasting!) our own delicious pancakes – a definite highlight of the week!
Wednesday was a particularly full day. We had:
- Gaelic with Owen
- An informative Northern Ireland Water Assembly with Pat, where we learned all about the importance of water and how we can help protect it
- A visit from Kerry from the Credit Union, who introduced our Primary 7 pupils to the beginning of their Young Enterprise programme
We also welcomed Geraldine from Paws B, who worked with the children and supported our focus on wellbeing.
Throughout the week, we celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week with a range of meaningful activities. The children:
- Enjoyed a no homework break
- Took part in outdoor learning
- Explored discussions around children’s mental health
- Focused on how we can continue to build a school where everyone belongs
- Practised mindfulness activities
On top of all that, they have also been very busy with rehearsals for their upcoming show, The Lion King, and the excitement is definitely building!
We finished off our celebrations with a well-earned hot chocolate and a biscuit ??
What a fantastic week of learning, reflection and fun! Well done P6 and P7 ?
