The children had a wonderful morning meeting up with their friends from Killyman. The focus of the session was to explore shapes, particularly within the outdoor environment. Mrs Spence first gathered the children together, inviting them to share the names of their favourite shapes. We then went on a shape hunt, searching for these shapes in our surroundings. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed taking photographs of the shapes they discovered using the iPads.
Everyone had great fun playing together, and the most popular activity of the day was mark?making on the tarmac. There was lots of rich mathematical discussion throughout the session, and we finished by working together to create a huge human circle!
