The children really enjoyed our athletics lesson today - our focus was on learning how to throw effectively. The warm-up activity was a game of dodgeball, which everyone enjoyed. The children then partnered up and began working on their throwing and catching skills; first with two hands and then with one hand. There was great communication and teamwork evident as each pair worked to achieve their goals: the first team to do 10 successive catches with no beanbag drops were awarded 2 tickets each for the Friday raffle!
