Our P1 and P2 children enjoyed a lively shared learning experience, both indoors and outdoors, making the most of the good weather while also engaging in focused classroom activities. Throughout the session, children explored shape work in a variety of practical and creative ways.
Outdoors, pupils played together on the wheeled vehicles and the Trim trail. Indoors, children explored shape patterns, developing their understanding of repeating and simple patterns. They also used 2D shapes to design and build models, demonstrating creativity and early problem?solving skills. The children practised their cutting and sticking skills by selecting and combining different shapes to create wonderful dinosaur pictures. This activity supported fine motor development while encouraging imagination and discussion.
The children worked cooperatively throughout the session, sharing ideas and resources, and strengthening friendships across both classes. Everyone was enthusiastic and engaged, making it a very positive and enjoyable learning experience!
