Farm to Fork @ Tesco Thank you Tesco, we had a fantastic day!
On the 14th May, our P4-P7 classes went to Tesco Dungannon. This was not the usual shopping trip! Tesco invited the children to their store to learn how the food grows on the farm and how the food eventaully arrives in store and on to our fork. The children really enjoyed the overall experience. They got to taste all the fruit and vegtables. They experienced behind the scenes in Tesco Dungannon and learned about the origins of the food they sell. A highlight of the day of course was when they were allowed to use the check out tills! Our P1-P3 classes went on the same trip on 23rd May
Emergency Services Day!
Another exciting day at Laghey P.S!! This morning we had a visit from all the Emergency Services Vehicle. Today Fire Service NI, Ambulance, Mountain Rescue and PSNI vehicles all came to our school, and we had great a time learning all about the role they play in our community, and how they carry out their daily duties with their trusty vehicles. All the children from P1-P7 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even getting to use the Fire Engine hose!
